— On Wednesday, Abdullah Shelbayh, a professional tennis player representing
Jordan, stole the spotlight on the second day of the Next Gen ATP Finals
presented by NEOM. According to the ATP Tour website, Shelbayh, while the
lowest-ranked man at the finals, showcased immense potential on Wednesday
night.

The
20-year-old downed Alex Michelsen, dominating the final two sets by moving his
opponent. According to the finals, he is now in a strong position to qualify
for the semi-finals of the red group.
"Having
the opportunity to play here now to finish the year, I couldn't ask for a
better end to the year," he said post-match. "I appreciate all the
support throughout the week that I've been receiving already, of course
throughout the year, and from the Arab world especially."
