Speaking at Monday’s press conference ahead of Tuesday’s match against Egypt at Al Bayt Stadium at 5:30 p.m., Salami said the game remains important for Jordan to maintain match rhythm despite having already qualified.

He added: “We will rest some key players based on the medical staff’s assessment. We will also rest the player who received a yellow card in the last two matches—Amer Jamos—to avoid suspension in the upcoming rounds.”

Salami noted that he is not overly concerned about the next opponent, whether it ends up being Algeria or Iraq.

For his part, Egypt’s head coach Helmy Toulan expressed the difficulty of facing the Jordanian team, which has qualified for the World Cup after delivering two outstanding performances and winning both matches. He emphasized that the Jordanian side is well-organized, plays modern football, and earned its World Cup spot through merit, given the quality of its players across all lines. He added that Egypt aims for victory to secure qualification.
