Jordan proposed to host Davis Cup

AMMAN — The Jordan Tennis Federation has recently received a letter from the International Tennis Federation proposing that the Kingdom host the international Davis Cup (Group 3). اضافة اعلان

Vietnam had originally been selected as host of the tournament, prior to the most recent COVID-19 breakout in the southeast Asian country.

The local federation has forwarded the official letter to the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) and is will likely receive a response within the week.

Following the JOC’s approval, the Jordan Tennis Federation will get back to its international counterpart and proceed with the necessary arrangements.

The national team qualified for Group 3 in the Asian ranking back in September 2020.

This edition of Davis Cup (Group 3) will see appearances from Sri Lanka and Honk Kong (demoted from Group 2), in addition to Qatar, Syria, Vietnam, Kuwait, Malaysia and  the Pacific Islands.
