Two children were killed early Monday in a Ukrainian drone attack in southern Russia, while a fire broke out at a warehouse operated by Russian e-commerce giant Ozon, authorities said.

The attack came as Ukraine prepares to mark the 35th anniversary of its independence and host a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing,” attended by leaders of European countries supporting Kyiv.

Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said on Telegram that “drone debris fell on a children’s center in Krasnodar, unfortunately killing two children.”

Seven other children and two adults were injured, he said, adding that a fire broke out at a warehouse after a drone crashed into the facility.

Ozon said Monday that a “large fire” had erupted at one of its logistics centers in Krasnodar following a drone attack, adding that no one was injured.

It was the third consecutive day that warehouses belonging to the e-commerce platform had been targeted, following Ukraine’s announcement of a broader campaign against Russian infrastructure.

Ukraine has previously targeted warehouses belonging to Russian e-commerce company Wildberries, accusing the company of supplying components to the military.

The strikes on the warehouses, which are less protected than military targets, have caused billions of dollars in damage.

Moscow has condemned the attacks, accusing Ukraine of targeting its “civilian infrastructure,” more than four years after Russia launched its full-scale war against Ukraine, which has killed tens of thousands of people and destroyed entire cities.
