According to Wafa, “this attack is part of a series of organized terrorist assaults by settlers under the protection of the occupation forces, which include gunfire directed at civilians, physical assaults, property destruction, targeting of shepherds, and road closures.”
Israeli forces reportedly closed the Attara military checkpoint early Sunday, causing disruptions to Palestinian movement.
A report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicated that there are currently 916 military checkpoints and gates in the Palestinian territories, including 243 newly installed gates since October 7, 2023.
