The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned on Wednesday what it described as Iranian statements, reaffirming its categorical rejection of any allegations or threats targeting the sovereignty, national security, or independent decision-making of the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement, the ministry stressed that the country’s international relations and defense partnerships are a purely sovereign matter, and that no party has the right to use them as a pretext for threats, interference, or incitement.
The ministry further emphasized that any rhetoric involving direct or indirect threats to the country’s security, its civilian and vital facilities, or to citizens, residents, and visitors on its territory constitutes unacceptable behavior that contradicts the principles of good neighborliness, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
The statement added that the UAE reserves its full sovereign, legal, diplomatic, and military rights in confronting any threat, allegation, or hostile act, stressing that attempts at pressure, accusations, or the promotion of malicious claims will not deter it from protecting its supreme national interests or safeguarding its sovereignty and independent decision-making.
