The threat to invade Rafah is a ‘hoax’— Ex-Israeli official

TEL AVIV — Former Israeli Chief of Staff Moshe Ya'alon has asserted that the threat to invade Rafah is a hoax, adding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prioritizes remaining in power over the return of captives, Al-Ghad reported.اضافة اعلان

 According to the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Ya'alon stated, “Inside the government, there are officials demanding the sacrifice of captives in exchange for occupying the Gaza Strip, expelling Palestinians, and settling Jews there."

 Moreover, Ya'alon highlighted Israel's responsibility for the killing of 100 people during the distribution of humanitarian aid in the north of the Gaza Strip. He also emphasized the urgent need for elections to navigate out of this ‘crisis’ with different leadership.
