The Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen said Wednesday that the “brutal” attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilians and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia, most recently targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport, would not go unanswered.
Coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki said in a statement that the coalition’s joint forces had carried out a comprehensive operation involving the destruction of 82 legitimate military targets belonging to the Houthi militia in the provinces of Saada, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf and Marib.
He said the targets included sources of ballistic missile threats, including 11 ballistic missile storage facilities located in mountainous areas of Saada, as well as command-and-control centers, communications systems, missile and weapons depots, and headquarters used by Houthi militant groups.
Earlier, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that three people were killed and 36 others injured in two attacks targeting Abha International Airport in southwestern Saudi Arabia and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Tuesday and Wednesday.
