The Palestinian Presidency strongly condemned on Tuesday the recent acts committed by Hamas in Gaza, describing the field executions of dozens of people as “heinous crimes that are utterly unacceptable under any pretext, carried out outside the framework of the law and without fair trials.”

The Presidency stressed that “these acts constitute a crime and a blatant violation of human rights, as well as a grave assault on the principle of the rule of law. They reflect the movement’s insistence on imposing its authority through force and terror, at a time when the people of Gaza are already suffering deeply from the consequences of war, destruction, and blockade.”
It affirmed that the law must remain the sole reference, noting that any such practices harm the unity and social fabric of the Palestinian people. They also contradict national and moral values and undermine ongoing efforts to unify Palestinian state institutions under one legitimate authority, one law, and one lawful weapon.
The Presidency called for an immediate end to these violations, the protection of unarmed civilians, and the prosecution of all those involved in these crimes within the framework of legitimate Palestinian law and judiciary.
It further emphasized that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the State of Palestine, and that restoring the rule of law and legitimate institutions there is the only path to ending the state of chaos and rebuilding national trust on the basis of justice, accountability, and respect for the dignity of the Palestinian people.
“The Palestinian Presidency holds Hamas fully responsible for these crimes, which harm the supreme interests of our people by entrenching the movement’s control over Gaza,” the statement added. “Such actions provide pretexts for the occupation, obstruct reconstruction efforts, perpetuate division, and hinder the establishment of a free and independent State of Palestine.”
