In a statement, the occupation army reported that forces from the 91st Division have begun conducting concentrated ground operations over recent days, targeting what it described as "key objectives" in southern Lebanon. The stated goal is to expand the forward defense zone on the northern border.

The statement clarified that the operation is part of the army's efforts to establish an advanced line of defense. This includes destroying infrastructure belonging to armed elements in the area and targeting active combatants to eliminate threats and enhance security for residents of northern Israel.

The Israeli army added that it would continue its operations against Hezbollah elements, accusing the group of engaging in combat with the support of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and asserting that it will not allow harm to be inflicted upon citizens within Israel.
