Israeli Army Chief Calls 2026 a “Decisive Year” for Israel’s Security

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said on Wednesday that Israel is determined to disarm Hamas, describing 2026 as a “decisive year” for the country’s security.اضافة اعلان

Speaking to soldiers during a visit to Gaza, Zamir stated: “The year 2026 will be crucial in shaping Israel’s security reality. We are fully determined to disarm Hamas and other factions… We will not allow Hamas to rebuild its capabilities and threaten us.”

His comments came just days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu raised the issue during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida.
