In statement No. 54 issued by the Public Relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the IRGC noted that "The Wall Street Journal reported an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh." The statement continued: "While the IRGC condemns this act, it declares that this incident has absolutely no connection to the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran (the Islamic Resistance). Given the Zionist enemy's strategy in the region, this act was certainly perpetrated by the Zionists."
The statement added: "The target list of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been clearly defined in advance, and the necessary warnings have been issued to neighboring and Muslim countries regarding the sedition being stirred by the Zionist entity in the region."
The IRGC concluded: "It is essential for the countries of the West Asia region to be alert to the sedition incited by the American-Zionist front, which aims to destabilize and destroy the region."
