Tehran — Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani announced on Thursday that 216 women and 198 children under the age of 18 have been killed as a result of U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iranian territory.

According to the Mehr News Agency, Mohajerani stated in a video message that these figures represent the latest death toll from the attacks. She explained that, so far, 216 women have been identified among the deceased, in addition to 198 victims under the age of 18, including 11 children under the age of five.
She added that the youngest victim was an eight-month-old girl killed in the city of Robat Karim, noting that the youngest person injured in these attacks is a four-month-old girl.
The spokesperson also highlighted the damage to the health sector, confirming that 21 emergency units were damaged in the attacks, with three units being completely destroyed. She further noted that the death toll within the health sector has reached 12 individuals so far.
Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran since Saturday, February 28, which resulted in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and other countries in the region with missiles and drones.
Additionally, Iran has enforced a naval blockade on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, targeting oil tankers that attempted to transit.
