Arab League Condemns Israeli Knesset’s Approval of Palestinian Prisoners’ Execution Law
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, has condemned in the strongest terms the occupation state’s passage of a law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners. He emphasized that the law contradicts the most basic principles of International Humanitarian Law, undermines the requirements of justice, constitutes a flagrant move toward clear discrimination against Palestinians, and represents a new chapter in the series of apartheid.اضافة اعلان

The official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Jamal Rushdi, stated that the passage of this law reflects the total dominance of an extreme and racist faction over the political decision-making process within the occupation state. He added that it is part of a continuous series of measures and policies aimed at liquidating the Palestinian presence, imposing further restrictions on Palestinian rights, and paving the way for the implementation of the West Bank annexation plan.

The spokesperson quoted Aboul Gheit as affirming that the international community’s failure to take effective action against these extremist and racist policies is "shameful." He warned that Israel is pushing matters toward an explosion in the Palestinian territories as part of a scheme to set the entire region ablaze and drag it into a cycle of violence and mutual escalation. — (Petra)
