The weather on Tuesday will be relatively cold in most regions, and mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Various amounts of clouds at different altitudes are expected, and there will be occasional chances of intermittent rain showers in scattered parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be moderate southwesterlies.
Temperatures in East Amman are forecast to range between 15°C and 7°C, and in West Amman between 13°C and 6°C. In the northern highlands, temperatures will range from 12°C to 6°C; in the Sharah highlands from 11°C to 4°C; in the Badia regions from 16°C to 5°C; in the plains from 15°C to 7°C; in the northern Jordan Valley from 22°C to 10°C; in the southern Jordan Valley from 24°C to 14°C; at the Dead Sea from 22°C to 12°C; and in Aqaba from 22°C to 12°C.
Extension of a Weather Depression
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department’s report, Wednesday’s weather will be cold in most areas and partly cloudy to cloudy at times. By midday, the Kingdom will be affected by an extension of a weather depression, bringing intermittent rain showers to the northern and central regions, as well as parts of the southwestern and eastern areas, occasionally accompanied by thunder. Winds will be moderate southwesterlies, becoming active at times and causing dust, particularly in the Badia.
On Thursday, the weather will remain cold and cloudy, with intermittent rainfall in the northern and central regions and parts of the southwestern areas. Rainfall is expected to gradually extend during the evening and night to cover most regions of the Kingdom. Some showers may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to possible flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Winds will remain moderate southwesterlies, becoming active at intervals and stirring dust, especially in the Badia.
The Kingdom will remain under the influence of the weather depression on Friday, with cold, cloudy, and rainy conditions persisting in the northern, central, and eastern regions. Some thunderstorms are also expected. By nighttime, rainfall will generally weaken. Winds will be moderate southwesterlies, occasionally active and causing dust, particularly in the Badia.
