Jordan remains on Wednesday under the influence of the remnants of an extremely cold and moist air mass. The weather will be cold and partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy, with a continued chance of intermittent scattered rain showers from time to time in the western parts of the Kingdom.
During the early nighttime hours, chances of precipitation will weaken and weather conditions will gradually tend toward stability. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active.
Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to range as follows: in eastern Amman, between 9 and 4°C; in western Amman, 7 to 2°C; in the northern highlands, 5 to 1°C; in the Sharah highlands, 4 to 0°C; in desert areas, 14 to 6°C; in the plains, 10 to 5°C; in the northern Jordan Valley, 18 to 9°C; in the southern Jordan Valley, 21 to 14°C; at the Dead Sea, 19 to 12°C; and in the Gulf of Aqaba, 21 to 13°C.
In its report, the Meteorological Department warned of reduced horizontal visibility during the morning hours due to fog over mountainous highlands, plains, and parts of desert areas; the risk of frost and freezing during the late nighttime hours over high mountainous areas, especially in the south; and reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in desert regions.
On Thursday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected. The weather will be foggy in the morning and cold in most regions, while relatively mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low clouds will appear, and winds will be northwesterly and moderate, occasionally active.
On Friday, another slight increase in temperatures is forecast, with foggy conditions in the morning and cold weather prevailing in most areas, and relatively mild conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low clouds will appear over northern and central parts of the Kingdom, and winds will be light southeasterly.
On Saturday, the weather will remain cold in most regions and relatively mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with light southeasterly winds.
