Google is preparing to add one of the most requested features to the Google Meet app on Android. Recent reports indicate that the company is testing a real-time voice translation feature within the app, after it had long been exclusive to the web version.اضافة اعلان

According to available information, this feature will allow users to understand different languages in real time by translating spoken speech almost instantly into another language, helping to facilitate communication during international meetings.

From the web to smartphones

Currently, Google Meet supports live voice translation on desktop computers for a limited number of languages, and it is often available only through specific paid plans, according to a report published by Android Headlines.

Despite its significant value in improving conversation flow and reducing language barriers, limited access has kept the feature out of reach for a wide segment of users.

However, a recent APK teardown of the Google Meet Android app revealed code strings pointing to a new setting related to voice translation. Although the activation option is not yet functional, its appearance is a clear sign that Google is developing or internally testing the feature in preparation for launching it on smartphones.

A major boost for mobile meetings

If live translation becomes available on mobile apps, it would make Google Meet far more flexible, especially for users who rely on their phones to attend global meetings.

The feature could also be a valuable addition for students, remote workers, and small teams spread across multiple countries.

That said, questions remain about how the feature will be offered once officially launched. It may remain limited to certain devices or paid subscription plans, similar to the desktop version.

Moreover, the appearance of the feature in an app teardown does not necessarily guarantee its final release, as Google could choose to delay or cancel it before launch.

Nevertheless, current indicators suggest that live translation in Google Meet on Android is closer than ever.
