Trabzon's President Ertuğrul Doğan said the club’s signing of Mohamed Salah has gone beyond football, creating a wave of joy and excitement among the club’s supporters and residents of the city.

Doğan said people in Trabzon have been “waking up and going to sleep to the name of Mohamed Salah,” stressing that the Egyptian star’s arrival has created an extraordinary atmosphere from the very first day, both inside and outside the team.
He added that the club views Salah as a significant human and sporting figure, considering that the presence of such a prominent and committed Muslim player could help strengthen ties and relations between Turkey and Egypt, in addition to having an impact in other areas.
Trabzonspor began its Turkish league campaign with a 1–1 draw against Kasımpaşa. Salah came on for the final 30 minutes and came close to scoring the winning goal with a shot that went just wide of the post.
