After two seasons without a major trophy, Real Madrid appointed veteran Portuguese coach José Mourinho for a second spell in charge and made a series of signings this summer as part of an effort to reshape the squad.
Mbappé, making his first appearance under Mourinho, put Real Madrid ahead in the sixth minute after intercepting a poor back pass and firing the ball into the net.
Dean Huijsen doubled the lead with a header from a corner delivered by Turkish midfielder Arda Güler, as Real Madrid took complete control of the match.
Substitute Carlos Espí added Real Madrid's third goal in the second half, before Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, who reportedly cost €140 million ($162 million), came on alongside England international Jude Bellingham.
Meanwhile, Spanish champions Barcelona recorded an entertaining 5-2 victory over Swiss side Basel in a friendly that marked the debut of newly signed English winger Anthony Gordon following his move from Newcastle.
Another new signing, German forward Karim Adeyemi, opened the scoring for Barcelona after receiving a pass from Brazilian winger Raphinha. Youngster Jan Doucouré equalized for Basel before the end of the first half.
Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim restored Barcelona's lead early in the second half after receiving a pass from Adeyemi.
Lamine Yamal, making his first appearance since winning the World Cup with Spain, scored Barcelona's third from the penalty spot after French defender Jules Koundé was brought down.
Belgian forward Kazeem Olaigbe pulled one back for Basel from the penalty spot before another Belgian, Jesse Bissouma, who joined Barcelona from Club Brugge, scored twice late in the match to complete the emphatic victory.
Barcelona will play their final friendly against Egyptian side Al Ahly at home on Wednesday before beginning their La Liga campaign against Elche on August 23 in the second round of the league.
