Jordanian completes skiing championships in Dubai

AMMAN — Jordanian skier Suhail Azzam successfully completed two Alpine skiing championships at Ski Dubai at the Mall of the Emirates.اضافة اعلان

The event consisted of two categories and included the National Ski Championship and the East Timor Ski Championship.

Azzam completed both of his races successfully. The races will determine if he qualifies for the next World Championship. 

He represented Jordan several times at major international events, including at the eighth Asian Winter Games, which took place in the Japanese city of Sapporo in 2017, and the World Ski Championship hosted by Sweden in 2019.

The Jordan Olympic Committee formed the Winter Sports Committee in 2018 in order to support Jordanians who want to practice winter sports abroad, and allow them to participate in international tournaments.
