Aqaba surpasses 25,000 vaccination mark

Over 25,000 Jordanians living in Aqaba have received the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the director of health affairs in the governorate, Saeb Abu Aboud. Abu Aboud said in a press statement Wednesday, that the increasing demand of citizens to take the vaccine had prompted the creation of two new vaccination sites in Aqaba, one at the Islamic Hospital, and a second that is currently being prepared at another hospital, so that the number of places allocated to administer the vaccine will total 11 centers. He said that the increase in the number of vaccination sites aims to give people the most means possible to vaccinate while reducing congestion at the centers, according to the Jordan New Agency, Petra.
