JPRC to spend JD6.88 million on fourth expansion this year

AMMAN — The Jordan Petroleum Refinery Co. announced that it expects to spend an estimated JD6.88 million this year to complete the fourth expansion project. In its 2021 annual report it added that it had spent a total of JD44.9 million on studies, technical, financial, legal, environmental services and detailed designs as of the end of December 2021, according to Khaberni.اضافة اعلان

The company indicated that three coalitions have submitted offers for the implementation of the fourth expansion phase last November.

As recommended by the board of directors, the company allocated JD12.9 million to the special reserve account for the fourth expansion project.

Regarding financing procedures for the fourth expansion project, the company’s annual report showed that the financial adviser has initiated contacts with the company’s major shareholders; Social Security Corporation, Islamic Development Bank and other investors wishing to contribute to the financing of the fourth expansion project.

Noting that the necessary documents requested by investors have been submitted, the company said a number of investors have expressed interest in financing, with verification studies to be initiated at the investor’s request.
