Inflation rate rises 1.21% in first 10 months of 2021

AMMAN — The consumer price index (CPI), a measurement of inflation, increased by 1.21 percent in the first 10 months of 2021 to reach 102.29, compared to a CPI of 101.06 for the same period in 2020, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

In its monthly report issued on Sunday, the Department of Statistics (DoS) indicated that the CPI for October increased by 1.61 percent compared to the same month last year.

The CPI increased by 0.06 percent between September and October of this year.

Cumulatively, the basic consumer price index for January–October 2021 amounted to 69.01, compared with 68.40 for the same period last year, marking an increase of 0.89 percent.

Also on Sunday, the DoS announced that Jordan’s industrial production increased by 15.47 percent in third quarter of 2021.
