Dollar Rises After Failure of U.S.–Iran Peace Talks
The U.S. dollar rose against major currencies in light trading on Sunday, as investors turned to the greenback as a relatively safe haven after prolonged negotiations between Washington and Tehran ended without an agreement, leaving markets in uncertainty for a seventh consecutive week.اضافة اعلان

The dollar strengthened—benefiting from the United States’ relatively limited exposure to rising energy import costs—at the start of Asian trading. This pushed the euro down by 0.53% to $1.1663, while the U.S. currency gained 0.1% against the Japanese yen, reaching 159.43 yen.

The United States and Iran had announced a two-week ceasefire on April 7, which was initially welcomed by investors who sold off oil and reinvested part of their capital into higher-risk assets such as equities. However, concerns over the fragility of the agreement later prompted a pullback from some of those trades.
