Banks to defer June loan payments, no fines levied

AMMAN — Local banks deferred personal loan repayments in June because it coincides with Eid Al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) announced on Sunday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The ABJ said the move is part of the “social responsibility” of local banks and reflects their commitment to alleviating financial burdens on citizens.

While affirming that there will be no fines levied on late repayments, it stated that those who do not wish to have their June installments postponed should call lenders.
