Exports from the Amman Chamber of Industry grew by 16.1% during the first 11 months of the current year, increasing by 983 million dinars compared with the same period last year. This growth reflects a notable expansion into non-traditional markets across Africa, Europe, and non-Arab Asian countries.

All industrial sectors recorded export growth during this period, except for the wood and furniture sector, which declined by 5.2%. The construction materials sector saw the highest increase at 68.5%.
According to the Chamber’s statistics, exports certified through certificates of origin issued since the beginning of the year until the end of November reached 7.075 billion dinars, up from 6.092 billion dinars over the same period in 2024.
Four countries—India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq—accounted for more than half of the Chamber’s total exports during this period, receiving 3.933 billion dinars in goods, compared with 3.726 billion dinars in the corresponding period last year.
Exports to India rose by 23.3%, reaching 1.105 billion dinars, up from 896 million dinars last year.
Exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 8.6%, recording approximately 781 million dinars, compared with 719 million dinars in the same period last year.
Exports to Iraq also rose by 3.3%, reaching 913 million dinars compared with 883 million dinars last year.
In contrast, exports to the United States declined by 7.7%, falling to around 1.134 billion dinars from 1.228 billion dinars last year; however, the U.S. remained one of the top foreign destinations for Amman’s industrial exports.
The data also showed a remarkable increase in exports to Syria, rising by 566.7% to reach 419 million dinars, up from 62 million dinars in the same period last year.
Geographically, Arab countries topped export destinations with a total value of 3.386 billion dinars, followed by non-Arab Asian countries at 1.570 billion dinars, and North American countries at 1.181 billion dinars.
Exports to European Union countries reached 468 million dinars, while exports to non-EU European countries totaled 225 million dinars. African countries received around 136 million dinars, South American countries 66 million dinars, and other countries 42 million dinars.

Mining industries: approx. 1.770 billion dinars
Chemical and cosmetics industries: 1.268 billion dinars
Engineering, electrical, and IT industries: approx. 1.179 billion dinars
Food, agricultural, and livestock industries: 896 million dinars
Pharmaceutical and medical supplies industries: 668 million dinars
Leather and garments: 565 million dinars
Packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies: 254 million dinars
Plastics and rubber: 288 million dinars
Construction materials: approx. 168 million dinars
Wood and furniture: 19 million dinars
The Amman Chamber of Industry, established in 1962, currently has 8,600 member industrial establishments employing 159,000 workers, with a total capital investment of around 5 billion dinars.
