21-Carat Gold Reaches JD 78.70 per Gram in Local Market

Gold prices in the local market rose on Wednesday morning, continuing to hit new record highs and reaching the highest level in Jordan’s history.

According to the second daily bulletin issued by the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry Shops, the price of 21-carat gold—the most in-demand among citizens—rose to JD 78.70 per gram for selling at jewelry shops, compared to JD 75.70 for buying.

Prices of other carats also increased, with 24-carat, 18-carat, and 14-carat gold selling at JD 90.10, JD 69.80, and JD 53 per gram, respectively.
