Zakat al-Fitr Payment Service Now Available via Sanad Government App

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has launched a service to pay Zakat al-Fitr through the Sanad government application, according to "Al-Mamlaka" monitoring on Monday.اضافة اعلان

To access this service, users must update the application, after which a dedicated icon will appear to complete the electronic payment process. The service allows payments for one or more individuals, based on the amount previously determined by the General Iftaa’ Department.

The Council for Iftaa’, Research, and Islamic Studies has estimated the value of Zakat al-Fitr for this year at 180 piasters (JD 1.80) per person. The council also set the Fidya (compensation for those unable to fast due to old age or illness) at a minimum of one Jordanian Dinar (JD 1.00) for each day missed.
