Wheat stock sufficient for 15 months, says official

AMMAN — Chairman of Jordan Silos and Supply General Company Anwar Ajarmeh said on Wednesday that stock at the company’s warehouses and in ground containers can cover the local market consumption of wheat for about 15 months and of barley and bran for 11 months, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Director General of the company Emad Tarawneh highlighted the company’s capability to unload two ships of grain every five days, and to store up to 735,000 tons of grain and 11,600 tons of refrigerants, noting that it has 45,000 square meters allocated to store dry foodstuff.

“Juwaida Mill can supply the local market with 400 tons of high-quality flour on daily basis,” he added.
