Toughening penalties will lower number of beggars, says official

AMMAN — Director of the Anti-Vagrancy Department at the Ministry of Social Development Maher Al-Kloub said on Tuesday that toughening the penalties for begging will limit the number of people involved in begging, and limit the emergence of new forms, according to Al-Ghad News.اضافة اعلان

Kloub commended the Lower House decision and said that penalties should be harsher in light of the high rate of recurrence in the past years.
