The Northern Military Zone foiled, on Sunday, an infiltration attempt by an individual along its northern front, after he illegally crossed the border from Syrian territory into Jordanian territory. Additionally, at dawn on Monday, the Zone foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone along its northern front. Rules of engagement were applied after the drone was detected by Border Guard forces and brought down inside Jordanian territory. The seized items were subsequently referred to the competent authorities.
