The Authority stated that the project aims to redefine student transportation by providing smart solutions that make daily commuting safer, more reliable, and regular. This initiative ensures the development of a sustainable and highly efficient public transport system that meets the expectations of beneficiaries and shortens travel times.

The LTRA noted that the physical implementation of the project will commence in the third quarter of 2026. It will cover equipping 376 medium-sized buses operating across 29 university routes with an integrated and advanced digital infrastructure. This system includes a suite of sophisticated technological solutions, most notably electronic payment systems via smart cards, Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking, modern surveillance cameras to enhance safety, real-time passenger information displays, and a financial clearing system to guarantee the highest levels of integration and coordination among operational processes.
