The Directorates of Education in Tafilah, Shobak, the Southern Badia, and Petra have decided to delay the start of school hours on Wednesday due to prevailing weather conditions.اضافة اعلان

The Director of Education for the Tafilah area, Imran Al-Lasasma, in coordination with Tafilah Governor Sultan Al-Madhi, announced that classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. in light of the current weather conditions, in order to ensure the safety of students as well as administrative and teaching staff. The directorate noted that it will continue to closely monitor the rainy weather conditions.

Similarly, the Director of Education in Shobak District, Ali Al-Nuaimat, decided to delay the start of school hours and the directorate’s working hours until 10:00 a.m., while classes for students in the first three grades in the district were suspended.

The Directorate of Education in the Southern Badia stated that the Director of Education for the area, Imad Al-Safasfeh, in coordination with Ma’an Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj, decided to delay the start of classes until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday due to the prevailing weather conditions, in order to safeguard students and administrative and teaching staff.

In Petra District, the Director of Education, Tahani Al-Salamain, in coordination with the district governor, decided to suspend classes for students in the first three grades on Wednesday, while delaying the start of classes for the remaining grades, as well as administrative and teaching staff, until 10:00 a.m.

Earlier, the Jordan Meteorological Department said that weather conditions on Wednesday will be foggy, cold, and partly to occasionally cloudy across most regions of the Kingdom.

The department forecast heavy rain showers at times during the morning hours in southern regions and the city of Aqaba, warning of the possibility of flash floods and rising water levels in valleys and low-lying areas.

It also predicted rain showers mixed with snow on Wednesday morning over the high southern mountain peaks for short and intermittent periods.
