Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi stated that Israel will continue its policies and measures that destroy all prospects for achieving peace, unless confronted with an effective international response that translates the international community's support for the two-state solution into practical, deterrent steps against Israel.

Speaking during a meeting marking the one-year anniversary of the New York Declaration Conference organized by Saudi Arabia and France Safadi warned that while the international community works toward a just peace, the Israeli government undermines the two-state solution, the sole path to peace, through illegal actions that erode its viability.
Safadi noted during the meeting, co-hosted by France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, that Israel openly disregards the position of the majority of world nations supporting the two-state solution because it has not been held accountable for its actions and has faced no deterrent international measures.
In the meeting opened by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Farhan bin Faisal, and attended by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Safadi commended the stance of nations that have recognized the State of Palestine and taken measures against Israeli policies. However, he emphasized the need for broader and stronger actions to confront settlement expansion, land confiscation, and the worsening humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
The meeting was attended by heads of state and representatives from 29 countries, alongside the European Union.
