The service allows lawyers to submit visit requests in advance and electronically through a dedicated platform, enabling verification of the inmate's presence at the relevant correctional center and confirmation that visit requirements are met with no obstacles preventing the visit. This helps complete the necessary procedures before arriving at the center, and enhances the smoothness of organizing and carrying out visits.

Under the new mechanism, lawyers can submit visit requests through the dedicated electronic form titled "Special Visits for Lawyers," available on the Correctional and Rehabilitation Centers Department page on the Public Security Directorate's official website, where requests are received, followed up, and processed according to established procedures.

The directorate confirmed that use of the service is optional and does not entail any change to the legally established days or mechanism for lawyers' visits, which continue according to their approved schedule on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays each week.

The directorate has begun implementing the service at six correctional and rehabilitation centers: Muwaqqar (2), Marka, Zarqa, Birain, Al-Juwaida, and Irbid, following completion of the necessary technical requirements, as a step toward expanding its application and rolling it out to the remaining centers across the Kingdom.
