Greater Amman Municipality Warns of Fraudulent Messages Claiming Unpaid Traffic Violations
Greater Amman Municipality has warned citizens about fraudulent text messages, accompanied by fake links, aimed at deceiving people and stealing their data.اضافة اعلان

The messages contain the following text: "We would like to inform you that there is an unpaid parking violation on your vehicle. Please proceed with payment in accordance with the provisions of Jordanian Traffic Law No. 49 of 2008 and its amendments. Failure to pay within the legal deadline will result in doubling the fine amount, referral of the file to the Greater Amman Municipality court, administrative seizure of the vehicle, and prevention of license renewal, in accordance with the Public Funds Collection Law."

The municipality is urging citizens to ignore and delete such messages and to avoid clicking on any links or entering any financial or personal information.
It confirmed that the official website of Greater Amman Municipality is amman.jo, and invited citizens who receive any similar messages to report them through its social media accounts or through the unified call center at 102, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
