Greater Amman Municipality announced the completion of work to install a rubber surface on the walking track inside Al-Nashama Park, in the Marj Al-Hamam area, making it ready to receive park-goers and visitors.

Executive Director of Agriculture and Forestry at Greater Amman Municipality, Mo'in Zreiqat, said the municipality has finished installing the rubber surface on the 1,500-meter track, noting that this step aims to ensure the highest standards of safety and security for walking enthusiasts, while enhancing the quality of services provided and the sustainability of public facilities in the park.
He explained that, as part of its strategic plans, the municipality is working to develop parks and public gardens across the various areas under its jurisdiction and to maintain the sustainability of their facilities, in a way that helps improve residents' quality of life, enhances the city's aesthetic and urban character, and provides a healthy community environment that meets the aspirations of residents and visitors.
In a related development, Greater Amman Municipality had earlier installed an iron pedestrian bridge on Al-Salam Street in front of Al-Nashama Park, as part of its plan to improve infrastructure, enhance public safety for road users, reduce traffic accidents, and ensure safe crossing for pedestrians and park visitors.
It is worth noting that Al-Nashama Park, built by Greater Amman Municipality on an area of 56 dunams with distinctive architectural and aesthetic character, is considered one of the largest safe recreational spaces serving the residents of the Marj Al-Hamam area and its visitors.
The park, which has received around 600,000 visitors since its opening, includes recreational areas, walking paths, children's playgrounds, parking areas, and sports facilities and courts built to the highest standards — including some designed for people with disabilities — along with green spaces that make up nearly 40 percent of the park's total area.
