A public opinion poll conducted by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, marking two years since the formation of Prime Minister Jafar Hassan’s government, found that 91% of respondents in the national sample are optimistic about the National Water Carrier Project’s success in securing water supplies, compared with 83% among opinion leaders.

According to the poll, awareness of the National Water Carrier Project stood at 84% among opinion leaders, compared with 32% in the national sample, highlighting a significant gap in knowledge of the project between the two groups.
Regarding water availability, 52% of respondents said they had not experienced water cuts, while the remainder reported intermittent, frequent or continuous interruptions.
On digital transformation, the findings showed that 74% of respondents had activated their digital identity through the Sanad app, while 89% of digital service users said using the services had saved them the inconvenience of visiting government offices.
Some 55% of respondents in the national sample said they had visited one of the comprehensive government service centers. Among those visitors, 80% rated the speed of completing transactions as very good, while 17% rated it as good.
Regarding the virtual persona “Farah,” 59% of opinion leaders said they had heard of it, compared with 24% of respondents in the national sample. Social media platforms were the primary source through which respondents learned about Farah, accounting for 79% among the national sample and 76% among opinion leaders.
When evaluating the experience of the digital spokesperson “Farah,” around one-third of respondents in both groups described it as an innovative idea. Meanwhile, 47% of the national sample and 44% of opinion leaders said they had greater confidence in a human spokesperson.
Respondents expressed varied views on the services they would like Farah to provide in the future, ranging from delivering government services directly to providing immediate answers to inquiries.
