AMMAN — The Philippine Embassy in Amman
celebrated its country’s 124th Independence Day, which falls on June 19,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In a speech, delivered on behalf of Filipino Ambassador
Akmad Sakkam, his wife Ruby Sakkam stressed Manila’s commitment to
strengthening relations with Jordan for mutual progress and prosperity. The
envoy expressed appreciation for the “close friendship” with Jordan and the
willingness to strengthen connections and cooperation in the various fields.
Abdoun Bridge was lit up in red, yellow, and blue to
celebrate the occasion.
