Owais added that universities recorded the lowest rate of COVID-19 infections recently— at only 1 percent — due to the high vaccination rates among teaching staff and students, which reached 95 percent.

He said that the ministry had issued health protocols that address the epidemiological situation, stressing that all universities are committed to implementing these protocols while pointing out that the ministry is constantly informed about the number of infections in universities on a full-time basis.

Questions were raised among university students about the possibility of changing the format of final examinations at universities in light of developments in the epidemiological situation in Jordan, which Owais has firmly resolved.
