AMMAN — The Ministry of Labor on Saturday called on workers and employers to take measures in order to stay safe during the heat wave currently affecting the Kingdom.اضافة اعلان

In a statement, the ministry stressed that workers who work directly in the sun should be aware that the heat will be most intense between 11am and 5pm, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.  

The ministry also released measures for employers to follow, including cooling the workplace, providing natural air vents, and providing staff with cold water, as well as implementing shifts. The Ministry added that that workers should also be educated on how to spot symptoms of fatigue and provide first aid if someone needs it.
