Makassed Hospital conducts a free eye examination campaign for school students

AMMAN — Makassed Charitable Society Hospital, affiliated with the Jordanian Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, is implementing a wide-ranging medical campaign to conduct eye examinations for students in Hay Nazzal and Jabal Al-Akhdar schools, in cooperation with the Makassed Optical Company, according to Ammon News.اضافة اعلان

Director of the Amman Kasbah Education Sami Al-Wahsh visited the hospital, met with its director-general, Ali Al-Saad Bani Nasr, and praised this pioneering initiative of the hospital.

They discussed ways of cooperation between the Directorate of Education of Amman Kasabah and the hospital, as well as facilitating the task of examining students’ eyes.

Bani Nasr said that this initiative is in line with the hospital’s plan to serve the local community, explaining that similar campaigns will be carried out for all school students in Hay Nazzal and Jabal Al-Akhdar in order to secure early detection of any eye problems completely free of charge.

He added that, students or their families who need eyeglasses or treatment are granted by the hospital a special discount of 40–60 percent, supported by the hospital.

The ophthalmology department at Makassed Hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment, has an operating room equipped with the latest equipment, and employs many qualified nursing and technical personnel.
