The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) will complete the trial operation of the second phase of the regular inter-governorate public transport development project on Sunday by launching the Jerash–Irbid and Irbid–Zarqaa routes.

The trial operation includes running the Jerash–Irbid route with 15 large buses at a fare of 1.25 JOD, while the Irbid–Zarqaa route will operate with 42 medium buses at a fare of 1.50 JOD, according to the latest approved technical and operational specifications, ensuring safe, regular, and highly efficient public transport services.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Commission confirmed that all buses are equipped with the highest standards of safety and comfort, and feature electronic tracking and payment systems to guarantee adherence to trip schedules and operational frequencies, enhancing the quality of service provided to citizens and offering a more comfortable and reliable inter-governorate transit experience.
As part of the continuous expansion of the regular transport network, the LTRC announced plans to launch additional routes in the coming days. The trial operation for the Amman–Ajloun route will begin on the 16th of this month using 22 medium buses at a fare of 1.50 JOD. Meanwhile, on the 20th of this month, the trial operation for the Zarqaa–Mafraq route will start with 44 large buses, alongside the Jerash–Mafraq route using 11 medium buses at a fare of 95 piastres, as part of the announced timeline to complete all Phase Two routes.
The continuation of these trial operations follows the successful launch of the Amman–Tafileh and Amman–Ma'an routes on August 2, confirming that the project is progressing in line with the operational plan and schedule announced by the Commission, leading up to the full operation of the regular public transport system by the end of August.
The Commission urged citizens to utilize the regular transport services and adhere to the designated terminals and departure schedules, emphasizing that its supervisory and technical field teams will continuously monitor the trial operations and evaluate performance to ensure the project's success and achieve its goal of upgrading public transport services across the Kingdom.
