During the opening of the second ordinary session of the 20th Parliament (both the House of Representatives and the Senate), His Majesty King Abdullah II reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering support for the people of Gaza amid the humanitarian catastrophe they are enduring.

“We stand before the catastrophe that our steadfast brothers and sisters in Gaza are facing, and we tell them: we will remain by your side with all our capabilities — as a brother stands by his brother,” His Majesty said, adding that Jordan will continue to send humanitarian aid and provide field medical services.
The King also stressed that Jordan will not accept the continuation of violations in the West Bank, emphasizing that the Jordanian stance remains firm and unyielding — just like the nation itself.
Reaffirming Jordan’s historic and religious responsibility toward Jerusalem, His Majesty underscored that Jordan continues, with honor and integrity, to uphold the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in the Holy City.
