AMMAN — The
Eastern Military Zone successfully intercepted
and neutralized a
drone carrying a cache of weapons that was attempting to
breach the border from Syrian territories into Jordanian lands. The incident
unfolded within the jurisdiction of the Eastern Military Zone on Friday
morning.

According to a responsible military source at the
General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, border guard forces, working in close
coordination with military security agencies, uncovered an unauthorized
incursion by an
unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) into Jordanian territories from
Syrian soil, Al Mamlaka TV reported.
Swift action was taken, resulting in the drone being shot
down within
Jordanian borders.
Upon inspection of the downed
UAV, it was revealed that the
drone was loaded with various types of weaponry, further highlighting the
severity of the situation. All confiscated arms and equipment were promptly
handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and
analysis.
