The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, said the ministry, through its Operations Directorate and the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, is following up on the conditions of the injured Jordanians in coordination with the relevant Saudi authorities to ensure they receive the necessary medical care and all required assistance and support.

The ministry is also working to arrange the transfer of the deceased Jordanian’s body to the Kingdom.

Al-Majali said the Jordanian ambassador to Riyadh visited the injured to check on their health and assess their needs.

He added that two Jordanian citizens had been discharged from the hospital, while two Jordanian women remain hospitalized receiving treatment. The embassy will continue to follow up on their condition and provide them with all necessary assistance and support.

Al-Majali reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, its civilians, and civilian and economic facilities.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, stability, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Al-Majali also praised the efforts of the Saudi authorities and their cooperation in providing medical care and treatment to the injured Jordanian citizens.

He expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, praying that God grant him mercy and give his family patience and strength. He also wished the two injured women a speedy recovery.

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation had earlier announced that at least 12 people were killed and 309 others injured in an attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

Saudi authorities also announced the suspension of operations at Riyadh Airport after it was subjected to an “attack” that resulted in injuries.
