Al-Meflih stressed the importance of supporting the youth and investing their
potential in social innovation, Hala News reported.

It said the minister social renovation would refine the creativity of the youth
by finding innovative solutions to the challenges and issues facing them.
During the opening ceremony of the National Social Innovation, organized by the
Ministry of Social Development and in partnership with the French EF education
Agency and EU sponsorship, Meflih commended the efforts of the partners to make
the journey of social innovation possible in the three pilot areas in the
governorates of
Karak, Amman and Jerash.
The 10-month social innovation challenge targeted a number of young people
between the ages of 18 to 25 from Amman, Karak and Jerash governorates.
Out of 500 applicants, 110 young people were selected to form teams at the
local stage of the challenge and to provide ideas for innovations that would
support the social protection and cohesion sector in their regions.
The teams received advice, training and guidance through reflection on ways to
develop and implement viable and sustainable innovations, and 15 teams of 50
innovators were selected to move to the national phase to develop prototypes
with the support of trainers and mentors, ready to be presented to the jury.
