Jordan registers 33 COVID-19 related deaths, 5,661 infections on Monday

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 5,661 new COVID-19 cases and 33 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 11,584 and the total number of cases to 948,966.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 2130 cases, while Zarqa recorded 659 cases. Irbid registered 1165 cases, Balqa 292 cases, Karak recorded 276 cases, Jerash recorded 212 cases, and Tafileh recorded 56 cases. Madaba registered 215 cases, Aqaba 72, Ramtha 138, and Ajloun 122.

The ministry said in a statement that 127 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 182 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 53,402 according to the ministry. Out of 58,530 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday 9.67 percent of them came back positive.
