AMMAN — General Director of Civil Status and Passports Department, Fahed Al-Amoush, revealed that 2021 registered 171,273 birth cases,
while mortality stood at 36,047.
Amoush said that
male mortality in 2021 was higher than female mortality, and that mortality in
2020 was less than in 2021 which was 30,348 deaths, including expatriates,
Jafra News reported.
On the other hand, Amoush
confirmed that the number of births for 2021 was higher than the previous year,
which stood at 161,172 births in 2020.
