AMMAN — Adviser to the Prime Minister for Health Affairs Adel Balbisi said on Wednesday that Jordan may have entered the fourth wave of the pandemic, but “we will wait until January 14, 2022, to assess the epidemiological situation”, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Balbisi added that the number of hospital admissions is an indicator of the epidemiological situation, and Jordan's situation regarding admissions “is currently good", as there are less than 630 people infected in hospitals.

The number of infections this week increased by 25–30 percent over last week, and 33 percent tested positive with Omicron, he said, urging all individuals who had their last jab, first or second, three months ago or more to take the third dose, stressing that the government “is not considering taking any new measures despite the high number of infections”.
